The P250 is a four-barreled semi-automatic pistol. These all use the same interchangeable fire control module, including trigger, hammer, launch and slide release. On the small end of the word 'fit', the subcompact frame and magazine allow me to hold it with 3 fingers, but hardly any: my little finger holds a piece of wood to hold. and no need for extra magazines or floor plates. At the bottom of the 'fit' zone, the full-size frame provides plenty of room for my support hand without feeling like I'm trying to grip the Desert Eagle.

Both handlebar frames have a molded surface that feels like textured skateboard tape. and provides a perfectly stable grip. Even if your hands are wet or almost numb from the cold. The feel and shape of the full-size handle reminds me of the H&K P30, but the P250 lacks H&K's expensive interchangeable handle plates.

Interchangeably, the 9mm grip frame can be paired with a 9mm, .357 Sig or .40 S&W magazine and barrel/barrel combo to create a fully functional gun. Version .45 ACP is used. Look carefully. It's not fake Photoshop; It's a full-size slide in a subframe. It looks a bit weird but it fits and works fine. Good luck finding a holster for it. (Not what you want)

For a bold, modern look (or an AOW with a knuckle barrel to the front if you file NFA taxes), you can even fit a miniature barrel into the full-sized frame ! The sliding cover does not completely cover the front dust cover. But at least you know you won't make the slide run out of battery by crushing your target. It looks (and is) extremely silly, and the gas from the muzzle will burn the frame. But you can shoot it that way if you want.

You can also fit a full-sized caliber in a compact slider. Although it's not very accurate.

Speed. Our chronograph measurements from both barrel lengths are comparable. Our cheap 115-grain Tulammo FMJ averaged 1165 fps, while the subcompact was just 42 fps slower than 1123 fps. Most 9mm are housed in the cavity for complete combustion in about 4" caliber.

I know some shooters who think that using a sliding action pistol is a crime against nature.

But many of us think otherwise. After all, if God didn't mean for us to use the slide lever, Why would He give us a thumbs up?

As an oscillating slide release lever I find the dual slide version of the P250 to be one of the best I've ever used. Unlike the 1911 slide-release JMB, they had no other function: They weren't barrel lugs or push pins. So it can be placed behind the gun just fine. Instead of having to let go long and uncomfortable They were arranged perfectly. So you can swipe it with your thumb without changing the grip to shoot. Similar to 1911 safe, but simpler.

They're contoured and low profile that they never get entangled in anything, but SIG still molds a small protrusion into the grip to prevent accidental pushing up and locking the slide back. I think it works because it never enters the slide lock until the magazine is dry.

Despite its small size and smooth shape, pushing slides requires minimal effort. no matter how much you shoot It simply can't get the bruised thumb that 1911 Deagle and shoddy shooters tend to suffer from. The slide release is 100% reliable in locking the slide back on a blank journal. But usually they are published.

This never happens when I load the magazine with normal effort. This has never happened with other shooters. And that never happened with the subcompact grip frame. So I'll let you determine for yourself which of these should be considered. If so, they are benign 'glitches' which I don't think will be an intentional design feature in future pistols (wearing a Nomex fireproof vest). Understood…)

Many DA/SA automation units combine a slide-mounted manual safety feature with a decoder. I hate this arrangement because it clutters the slide. inconvenient to join and give me another chance for operator error (

Previously, SIG avoided this by bypassing the manual safety feature (hooray!) and sliding the decoder down to the left side of the grip. They always work perfectly. But they add great size and circumference to the handle. And they tend to make the SIG a little different from other semi-autonomous vehicles.

The P250's DAO lock eliminates the need for manual levers. This minimalist control allows for a thinner grip and easier arm handling. Both are very good.

The P250 has a fixed rear sight. Other SIGs offer a 'Post and Dot' observation setup which I never liked, but the P250 all have a 3 dot configuration. The 'Hi-Viz' white dot shown here is standard. And you can order tritium night sights for a few dollars more.

Caleb at Gun Nuts Media thinks they're too big for his taste. But I like them: they are quick to buy for a quick snap. but still gives excellent accuracy for intentional fire. (more on that later)

The front sight is drift-adjustable, but SIG recommends using their proprietary vision modifier if you want to move, but beware: the tail is pretty shallow.
