But when I got to Gunstore I saw that there were more options. The OD Gen 3 G21 came into my hands and I fell in love but still haven't bought. Although my first revolver (just the first of the three to be a Signature, the other two the G17 and G22 gen 3) was the old non-sf gen3 he made it home in black. Dry shooting quickly confirmed that the Tungsten guide rod delivered to my liking and at the time the Sig just wasn't offering enough or cheap enough. 2.5k rds later it is still my favorite gun, probably my favorite gun. For me it is easy to do, properly designed and not over the top or other models that have been reduced since it has always been the reason I chose and continue to prefer Glock. The tungsten rod covers light magazine loads and keeps my drills consistent.

For me, it doesn't get any better. In my opinion the Glock 21 is the best .45. Although it is overbuilt, (same frame as the Glock 20 in 10mm), this is actually not a bad thing. More beef means you can carry full ammo in the house all day. Height is not an issue for concealed carry, and with the right holster system you can carry it all day without much discomfort. Trust me. I have it and it's not a big problem. When you go into .45, the gun bounces more and you have less accuracy and stability. Any more and it creates, for me at least, a concealed carry problem. I plan to buy another one with the next payment. And, after 27 years of concealed carry, the .45 is still the best stopwatch and the Glock is still the best pistol system I can think of. This is a well-deserved investment in protective gear. Hope this helps.

I bought my second Glock 21. This gun is much easier to handle than one would expect. It weighs less than a 1911 and holds more ammo. With the right holster, it can be easily concealed. This is a matter of deep thought. The smaller the gun, the more you jump. This results in a control problem that can be solved with a larger gun that can reduce recoil and increase accuracy. After wearing my 21 every day for a few weeks, I've come to realize that it's not as much of a problem as many people would make it out to be. At 28.26 ounces it is about 11 ounces lighter than a full size 1911, and about 8 ounces lighter than a Commander. It also carries many characters. I bought him a belt hole and I have a good belt, to the point where I don't feel any pulling or tugging, and I don't have to keep pulling my pants up all day. Although it is a large gun, it is very well balanced and fills my hand well with the modular grip extension. Also, to repeat, it's a bit overbuilt (same frame as the 20 in 10mm), but that's not so bad when you realize it can chew up +p ammo and spit it out block.

So. If you consider the 21 to be a concealed carry gun, it's not bad at all. Just get a good holster and belt. Hope this helps.

I've had my Glock 21 for 3 years, put 1,300 rounds through it with no problems. I found the tungsten guide rod assembly, slide stop and slide clip on my belt on the small of my back. I have a Colt 1911 and while it is a good shooter, the Glock is my favorite. It breaks much easier than a 1911. You have to handle it carefully
